London Calling I

"Mummy".....as described by Charles at the Jubilee celebrations.
Pierre and I are off early tomorrow morning on the Eurostar bound for London for a few days.

London is such a beautiful city...no matter how many times you visit, there's always something new to discover.  It'll be interesting to see how the city has revved up for The Games....so more on that in a later post.

This time we're staying in Knightsbridge so it'll be fun exploring this new neighbourhood.....and it's close to Harvey Nichols!

We've planned to see some breathtaking dance at Sadlers Wells...the Pina Bausch Company. This will be brilliant, brilliant, brilliant and then some.  (Well, I hope so anyway!)

Sadly, Pina died last year, but her extraordinary dance style lives on through her dance company.

Last year, Wim Wenders, dedicated a film to her http://www.pina-film.de/en/.  This is a wonderful documentary which gives an insight into Pina's unique modern dance style. Have a squizz at the video and you'll see why I describe the company as 'breathtaking'.

But before I go....here's a few shots of Gay Paree that I thought you might like.

You just never know what you're going to see in Paris!!!

(1)  St Germain...easy rider with style.

Well, if you've got it, flaunt it!
(2)  Le Metro Concorde.....music to go
Glorious chamber music
(3)  Rue des Martyrs....and les garcons.
Filming in Rue des Martrys.
"Take 1"....and I saw it done at least 5 times to......"Take cinq/5"
Les garcons in action!
Walking backwards (very quickly)...and dodging the traffic at the same time.
There were lots of conferences...and more and more "takes".
And finally...all smiles...it was a rap!
(4)  A beauty on Pont Alexandre III
Preparations for le commercial on Pont Alexandre III
Striking a pose
Make-up and hair being adjusted!
And the perfect pose!
(5)  Back rubs on Place de Concorde
(6)  Pont des Arts...and locks d'armour
Those gorgeous locks d'armour on Pont des Arts...are always an interesting read.
Maybe we need a "Pierre & Robyn" lock aussi/also?
Music to stroll by.
And this is a great spot to sit and watch the world go by.
A bientôt Paris....see you in a few days time.
